This Event Code of Conduct ("Code") applies to all Global Shows Events organised by VAP Digital Media FZ LLC under the Global Blockchain Show brand, including all live events, virtual events, side events, hackathons, networking events, social events, satellite events, digital platforms, community sites, and social media channels associated with our Events. It applies to all participants including attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, contractors, vendors, media, volunteers, staff, and any other person present at or participating in the Event in any capacity, whether in person or online.
Zero Tolerance: VAP Digital Media FZ LLC has zero tolerance towards any verbal or physical threats, violence, abuse, harassment, or discrimination at any Event or associated platform. Anyone engaging in unacceptable behaviour will be required to stop immediately and may be expelled from the Event without warning or refund, banned from future Events, and reported to the appropriate authorities.
1 - Purpose & Commitment
We want everyone who comes to our Events to have a great, safe, and productive experience. Safety, respect, inclusion, and consideration are integral to everything we do. While issues are rare, we want to be clear about the standards and expectations in place at all our Events, wherever they are held, because actions impact others and everyone has a role to play in getting it right.
This Code does not limit or replace any applicable law, venue regulation, or country-specific requirement. Compliance with this Code is in addition to, not instead of, all applicable legal obligations.
2 - Safety at Events
All Participants must:
- Never act in a way that puts your own or other participants' health, safety, or security at risk.
- Review local and national health guidance before attending and follow any applicable requirements, including any vaccination, testing, or health screening requirements in force at the time of the Event.
- If you are unwell with symptoms that may put others at risk, we encourage you not to attend. Contact the Event team to discuss alternative participation options.
- Follow all health, safety, and security processes, including emergency procedures, evacuation routes, and access protocols.
- Not alter, obstruct, or misuse any safety signage, emergency exits, or equipment provided for safety and protection.
- Report any unsafe behaviour, security risks, or hazards to Event staff or security immediately.
- Not bring any weapons, prohibited items, or dangerous objects onto Event premises.
3 - Respectful Environment - Zero Tolerance Behaviours
The following behaviours are strictly prohibited at all Events and associated platforms:
- Any form of verbal or physical threats, violence, intimidation, or threatening behaviour.
- Discrimination on any grounds, including but not limited to race, sex, age, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, disability, or marital status.
- Offensive language and gestures, including verbal harassment or abuse, sexually explicit language, profanity, obscenity, or racial, religious, or ethnic slurs.
- Sexual harassment, including inappropriate physical contact, unwelcome sexual attention (verbal, physical, or otherwise, in person or online), stalking, or behaviour that causes apprehension.
- The use, display, or distribution of inappropriate, offensive, or harassing materials, including content that is intimidating, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning.
- Physical harassment, including pushing, shoving, or any use of physical force.
- Threats, intimidation, or menacing gestures, whether verbal, physical, or written.
- Possession or display of any weapon or item used to threaten or intimidate.
- Deliberately damaging the venue or other participants' property.
- Assembling for the purpose of disturbing the peace or committing an offence.
- Any behaviour that violates UAE law, the laws of the Event jurisdiction, or the Event venue's rules.
4 - Participation & Engagement
We want everyone to be able to participate fully and comfortably. The following are prohibited:
- Deliberately preventing others from attending or participating in any part of the Event.
- Heckling, catcalling, or interrupting others in a sustained or disruptive way.
- Unauthorised canvassing, solicitation, or distribution of materials without prior written consent from the Organiser.
- Misrepresenting your identity, credentials, or organisational affiliation.
- Knowingly making false or misleading statements about products, companies, or individuals at the Event.
5 - Digital Platforms & Community Sites
This Code applies equally to any digital Event platform, community site, social media channel, or online environment associated with our Events. Content, posts, and comments must not contain:
- Accusatory, negative, or destructive comments about other participants or the Event.
- Knowingly false or misleading claims about products or companies.
- Any content that would be prohibited if stated in person at the Event.
Content found in breach may be deleted or removed without warning and the posting user may be banned from the platform.
6 - Event Attire
All participants must dress appropriately for a professional business event and in a manner that complies with UAE cultural norms and the norms of the Event jurisdiction. Clothing containing offensive images, patterns, or slogans is prohibited. The Organiser reserves the right to request that any participant change attire deemed inappropriate.
7 - Responsible Consumption
Anyone found to be under the influence of any substance (whether lawful or otherwise) and acting in a way that negatively impacts others may be removed from the Event without refund. Alcohol, smoking, vaping, and tobacco products may only be consumed where and when expressly permitted by the Event venue. UAE laws regarding alcohol consumption must be observed at all Events held in the UAE.
8 - Sustainability
Sustainability is an important part of delivering responsible Events. At live Events, please consider sustainable travel options, make use of recycling and sustainable waste disposal points provided, and respect the environmental practices of the host city and venue.
9 - Reporting & Consequences
Anyone who experiences or witnesses behaviour that violates this Code, or has any other safety or security concern, is encouraged to report it immediately to Event staff, security personnel, or via the Event's dedicated reporting channel.
Reports will be treated with appropriate confidentiality. Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behaviour is expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in unacceptable behaviour or breaches this Code, the Organiser may take any or all of the following actions:
- Require the person to stop the behaviour immediately.
- Issue a formal warning.
- Expel the person from the Event without warning or refund.
- Cancel all future registrations and permanently ban from all future Events.
- Notify and cooperate with local law enforcement and competent authorities.
- Pursue civil legal remedies for any loss or damage caused.
The Organiser reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, whether behaviour constitutes a breach of this Code and what action is appropriate. This Code may be revised at any time and is non-negotiable. This Code is without prejudice to any rights under the main Terms & Conditions, all of which are expressly reserved.
10 - Third-Party & Satellite Events
Events organised by third parties that run alongside our official programme or on concurrent dates are not the Organiser's responsibility and are not within our control. The Organiser does not organise, manage, supervise, review, vet, or endorse any such non-Organiser events, including their content, activities, or attendees.
