IMPORTANT: By accessing this website, registering for any Event, or purchasing any Ticket, you unconditionally accept these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree, immediately cease use of this website.
Article 1 — Definitions & Interpretation
1.1 "Organiser" means VAP Digital Media FZ LLC (Trade Licence No. 103992), incorporated in the UAE, operating the Global Blockchain Show as a trading brand. "We", "us", "our" means the Organiser.
1.2 "Website" means www.globalblockchainshow.com together with all sub-domains and digital platforms operated by or on behalf of the Organiser.
1.3 "Event" means any conference, exhibition, summit, show, seminar, workshop, hackathon, startup competition, networking session, side event, or related gathering organised under the Global Blockchain Show brand, whether in-person, hybrid, or virtual.
1.4 "Ticket" means any pass, badge, entry credential, digital or physical confirmation, or authorisation permitting attendance at an Event.
1.5 "User / Attendee / Visitor" means any person who accesses the Website, registers for an Event, purchases a Ticket, or otherwise interacts with the Organiser.
1.6 "Participant" means any Speaker, Sponsor, Exhibitor, Partner, Delegate, Media Representative, Contractor, Vendor, or other person or entity participating in an Event in a commercial or representative capacity.
1.7 "Event Platform" means any website, app, portal, or digital environment through which a virtual or hybrid Event is accessed.
1.8 "Force Majeure Event" means any circumstance beyond the Organiser's reasonable control including acts of God, epidemic, pandemic, governmental order, national mourning period, war, civil unrest, terrorism, fire, flood, earthquake, regulatory prohibition, travel restrictions, venue unavailability, or any cause deemed extraordinary by competent authorities.
1.9 "Badge" means any physical or digital identifier issued to an Attendee at an Event, which may be scanned by exhibitors, sponsors, or other third parties.
1.10 These Terms are governed by UAE law. Headings are for reference only.
Article 2 — Acceptance of Terms
2.1 By accessing the Website, registering for an Event, purchasing a Ticket, or clicking any acceptance mechanism, you unconditionally and irrevocably accept these Terms, the Visitor Terms & Conditions, the Event Code of Conduct, the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy, and all Disclaimers in their entirety.
2.2Continued use of the Website after any update to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Updates take effect immediately upon publication.
2.3 GLOBAL COMPLIANCE OBLIGATION It is the sole responsibility of each User, Attendee, and Participant to independently identify, obtain, and comply with all laws, regulations, licences, permits, and local norms applicable to their attendance in the jurisdiction in which any Event is held and in their own jurisdiction of residence. The Organiser provides no guidance on, and accepts no liability for, compliance with the laws of any jurisdiction.
2.4 The English version of these Terms prevails over any translation in cases of ambiguity or conflict.
Article 3 — Logo & Brand Consent
3.1 By registering for a Ticket or entering into any commercial arrangement with the Organiser, you agree to allow the Organiser to use your registered company name and logo for marketing and promotional purposes. This includes displaying your name and logo on the Website, social media channels, marketing materials, presentations, event signage, and event reports. You confirm that you have full authority to grant this permission and that it does not violate any third-party rights.
3.2 The Organiser may adjust the size, format, or placement of logos as needed. To request removal of your logo from future marketing materials, contact legal@vapgroup.co.
Article 4 — Registration & Ticketing
4.1 All registrations and Ticket purchases are subject to availability at the Organiser's sole discretion. The Organiser reserves the right to accept or reject any registration without providing any reason.
4.2 Tickets are non-transferable unless the Organiser agrees otherwise in writing. Tickets may not be resold or auctioned. Any purported transfer shall be void and the Organiser may cancel the Ticket without liability or refund.
4.3 The Organiser reserves the right to cancel any Ticket obtained through illegal means, including bug exploitation, fraud, or any unauthorised method.
4.4 Ticket confirmation emails are proof of purchase only. Official Event credentials (badges, passes) are issued separately closer to the Event date. A confirmation email does not guarantee entry if these Terms have been breached.
4.5 EAge requirement: Events are directed at business professionals aged eighteen (18) or over. Minors under 18 may only attend where expressly permitted by the Organiser and must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The Organiser reserves the right to restrict access to certain areas or sessions to adults only.
4.6 Media Accreditation: Media passes are subject to separate media accreditation terms. A general ticket does not confer media accreditation. Double accreditation (e.g. as both media and exhibitor) is not permitted.
Article 5 — No Refund Policy
STRICT NO-REFUND POLICY — ALL TICKET SALES AND REGISTRATIONS ARE FINAL. NO REFUNDS, CREDITS, EXCHANGES, OR TRANSFERS SHALL BE ISSUED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING CANCELLATION BY THE ATTENDEE, ILLNESS, VISA DENIAL, TRAVEL DISRUPTION, OR ANY OTHER REASON.
5.1 All fees paid to the Organiser are non-refundable, non-creditable, and non-transferable in all circumstances including: (a) attendee's own decision not to attend; (b) illness or medical condition; (c) travel disruption or flight cancellation; (d) visa refusal or denial of entry; (e) employment changes or corporate restructuring; (f) dissatisfaction with any aspect of the Event; (g) Force Majeure Events; (h) any change to Event date, venue, format, or programme.
5.2 Where the Organiser cancels, postpones, or reschedules an Event: (a) if the Event is rescheduled within twelve (12) months of the original date, your Ticket remains valid for the rescheduled date; (b) if the Event is cancelled and not expected to be rescheduled within twelve (12) months, the Organiser may, at its sole discretion, offer a credit toward a future Event. No monetary refund shall be payable in any circumstances.
5.3 Any attempt to initiate a chargeback, payment dispute, or reversal constitutes a material breach of these Terms. The Organiser reserves the right to pursue all available legal remedies and to permanently ban the relevant User from all future Events.
5.4 The Organiser shall not be liable for any travel costs, accommodation, visa fees, or loss of earnings. Attendees are strongly advised to obtain appropriate travel and cancellation insurance at their own expense.
5.5 Service charges and processing fees are non-refundable in all circumstances. Any applicable VAT collected is non-refundable.
Article 6 — Event Amendments, Postponement & Cancellation
THE ORGANISER RESERVES THE ABSOLUTE, UNCONDITIONAL, AND UNFETTERED RIGHT TO MODIFY, AMEND, RESCHEDULE, POSTPONE, OR CANCEL ANY EVENT OR ANY ELEMENT THEREOF AT ANY TIME WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE, REASON, OR LIABILITY TO ANY PERSON.
6.1 The Organiser may without notice or liability: (a) change the date, time, or duration of an Event; (b) change the venue or location; (c) convert to virtual or hybrid format; (d) cancel, remove, or substitute any speaker, exhibitor, sponsor, session, hackathon, startup competition, side event, or content; (e) modify the programme or agenda; (f) restrict access to certain areas; (g) cancel an Event entirely.
6.2 Speaker, exhibitor, programme, and side event information is indicative only and subject to change without notice.
6.3 The Organiser shall not be liable for any costs incurred by any Attendee or Participant as a result of any amendment, postponement, or cancellation, including accommodation, travel, or visa expenses.
Article 7 — Badge Scanning & Third-Party Data Sharing
7.1 At Events, exhibitors and sponsors may use badge scanning applications, barcode scanners, or lead capture technology. If you choose to allow your Badge (physical or digital) to be scanned by a third party at an Event, the Organiser may pass your personal contact information to that third party.
7.2 Certain areas of an Event may be sponsored or managed by third parties and your attendance in those areas may be conditional on your personal information being provided to those third parties.
7.3 The Organiser has no control over the use that any third party makes of your personal information following badge scanning or conditional area entry. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Organiser does not accept any liability in this regard. You assume sole responsibility for determining whether to allow your Badge to be scanned.
Article 8 — Intellectual Property
8.1 All Content on the Website and at Events, including the Global Blockchain Show brand, logos, trade marks, designs, presentations, recordings, and digital materials, are the exclusive intellectual property of VAP Digital Media FZ LLC (Trade Licence No. 103992) or its licensors, protected under UAE Federal Law No. 36 of 2021.
8.2 All unauthorised filming, livestreaming, sound recording, and photography of any Event, and all unauthorised transmission of audio or visual material, is expressly prohibited. You agree: (a) to surrender or destroy on demand any material recorded in violation of this clause; (b) that the copyright in any such material shall vest in the Organiser unconditionally and immediately upon creation; (c) to hold the Organiser harmless against any claims arising from such unauthorised activities. Prior written approval from the Organiser is required for any filming, livestreaming, recording, or photography at Events.
8.3 By submitting any content or material to the Organiser or the Website, you grant the Organiser a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable licence to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, and distribute such material for any purpose, including marketing, and you waive all moral rights in such material to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Article 9 — Virtual & Hybrid Event Platform
9.1 For virtual or hybrid Events, you undertake to be responsible for all technical requirements needed to access the Event Platform. The Organiser does not guarantee that the Event Platform will operate continuously, securely, or without interruption, and accepts no liability for temporary unavailability.
9.2 Any username and password issued by the Organiser for Event Platform access is confidential, personal to you, and may not be sold, assigned, or transferred. You are liable for all acts of any person using your credentials.
9.3 Any posts, messages, or materials you upload to the Event Platform are considered non-confidential. The Organiser has the right to use, copy, distribute, and disclose such materials for any purpose and to remove or block any content at its sole discretion.
9.4 You must not: (a) download or commercially exploit Event Platform content; (b) attempt to hack, interfere with, or disrupt the Event Platform; (c) transmit unsolicited advertising; (d) upload viruses or malicious code; (e) infringe any intellectual property rights in relation to Event Platform use.
Article 10 — Global Advertising Notice
10.1 VAP Digital Media FZ LLC runs advertising campaigns globally across multiple digital platforms and territories. Users who access this Website or register for Events as a result of advertising do so subject to these Terms in full.
10.2 No advertisement constitutes a binding contractual offer. All registrations and purchases remain subject to these Terms, which prevail over any advertising content in the event of discrepancy.
Article 11 — Limitation of Liability & Indemnification
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE ORGANISER'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY THAT PERSON FOR THE RELEVANT TICKET OR REGISTRATION. WHERE NO PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE, THE ORGANISER'S LIABILITY SHALL BE NIL.
11.1 The Organiser expressly excludes all liability for: (a) indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive loss; (b) loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, data, or goodwill; (c) property damage or theft; (d) losses from Force Majeure Events; (e) actions or omissions of third-party speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, vendors, contractors, or venue operators; (f) technical failures, Website or Event Platform downtime, or data loss; (g) products displayed or sold by any exhibitor or sponsor.
11.2 You expressly assume all risks associated with attendance at or participation in any Event, including any physical activities, demonstrations, or exhibitions forming part of the Event programme.
11.3 You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Organiser, its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against all claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Website; (b) your attendance at any Event; (c) your breach of these Terms; (d) your breach of any applicable law; (e) any content you submit; (f) any claim by a third party arising from your acts or omissions.
11.4 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by the Organiser's gross negligence, fraud, or wilful misconduct to the extent such limitation is prohibited by mandatory UAE law.
Article 12 — Force Majeure
12.1 The Organiser shall not be in breach of these Terms, nor liable for any failure or delay in performance, arising from any Force Majeure Event. This clause does not affect the No-Refund Policy in Article 5.
Article 13 — Severability — Multi-Jurisdiction Protection
13.1 These Terms are intended to be enforceable to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law in every jurisdiction in which the Organiser operates or in which any User is located. If any provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable in any jurisdiction — including the UAE, KSA, Hong Kong SAR, or the Republic of Singapore — that finding shall operate only to sever that specific provision in that specific jurisdiction only, and shall not affect: (a) the validity of that provision in any other jurisdiction; (b) the validity of any other provision in any jurisdiction.
13.2 All remaining provisions continue in full force and effect as if the severed provision had never been included. Where a severed provision can be partially enforced, it shall be enforced to the maximum permissible extent.
Article 14 — Governing Law, Disputes & Jurisdiction
14.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, without regard to conflict of law principles.
14.2 Any dispute shall first be submitted to good-faith negotiation. If not resolved within thirty (30) days, the dispute shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration under the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) rules, seat in Dubai, UAE, conducted in English.
